Headstart in 12 hours!

February 24, 2011 - 2:27 pm No Comments

The headstart begins in just over 12 hours now… that’s 4 in the morning where I’m sitting. Not cool, very not cool. That’s okay, I’ve got a ton of stuff still to do over at Scarlet Underground‘s website. In the meantime, everyone who didn’t have the chance to play in the beta or didn’t get around to rolling a guardian, the introduction video is right here! Enjoy it while you have the time.

If any of you are following on Twitter, the feed has been on fire the last couple days. There’s been a ton of activity with fansites revamping and retooling for the launch. Important bits of news has come from it as well – including the launch server listing and the headstart client download. This news makes it official: Scarlet Underground will be on Wolfsbane.

The Scarlet Underground Revived

Is little, and broken, but still good. Yeah, still good.

The open beta is over and headstart beings in just two days. I hope you all reserved your names! With the headstart event, good friends and old company will be returning to our gaming community. Lots of folks will be returning to the scene as a fresh new game always tends to draw out. If any of you have caught my blog, know this… the Scarlet Underground is making a comeback.

Welcome to Telara: a beta review of RIFT

A view of Meridian

Over the last few days, I really haven’t had a lot of time to play. My children had a four day weekend and my wife worked most of it, so I was juggling revamping Awesomesauce, having fun with my boys, and squeezing in a little time for the RIFT beta. I’d say the website got the lions share of my time, but me and the boys had a great time playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl!

The RIFT beta has been an entirely pleasant experience – both from the perspective of a tester and a player. For those of us who actually “tested,” feedback with the devs was very open and it was exciting to see tester feedback actually change things in-game. Back in the Vanguard beta that didn’t happen much (and could be a major reason why it failed at launch). From the player’s perspective – and the one you the reader are most interested in – RIFT itself is truly exciting. Click the jump to find out why RIFT is more than just gorgeous to look at

Site revamp gets ready for RIFT

Asha Catari, High General

The open beta for RIFT began a few days ago, the head-start event begins in less than a week, and the game goes live March 1st. With the coming of the next “WoW Killer,” it’s time to prepare the website. I will be posting all about my beta experiences (since beta 2), my final thoughts on the game in it’s current state, and what to expect come launch day and beyond over the next few days. In a nutshell, I haven’t been this excited about a new MMO since Vanguard back in 2004.

Please post comments about the redesign. Let me know if you find any glitches or if there is something missing. I am still tweaking a few things but overall the site is in great shape. Also, I finally started a Facebook for WOA, so feel free to “Like” me and add me as a friend. I’ll be setting up a Twitter account soon (RIFT links right into your Twitter for instant updates).

New Address on the Internets

February 6, 2011 - 12:09 am 1 Comment

World of Awesomesauce now has a new address – www.worldofawesomesauce.com. This makes the site much easier to find and gives it a more officially-here-for-good vibe. So update your bookmarks, links, blogs, and social networking walls!

I know there aren’t a lot of you reading my blog yet, but please keep passing the word around to all your friends and link-back to me on your own blogs, Facebooks, and Twitter walls! To all of you that are visiting, please post some comments. The more people I know that are reading the more compelled I am to blog more often!

Also, send in your questions or comments about World of Warcraft, hunters, warriors, or any other games for that matter! I need more topics to blog about!

By the way, Imminent Destruction has a new website as well – visit it at www.imdcentral.net. We are recruiting more quality raiders for our second ten-man raid team!
